Seems like a good week to bring this post up. I really hate Mick. I root for him to lose every game. He has single handedly driven the Big O from his seat at 5/3 multipurpose multisuck arena.

I think you're looking to make a bigger deal out of this than it is. I watched the video, and Roy turns around and makes a "c'mon" gesture toward his team. I didn't make up the Cronin thing, Cronin himself admitted to it after the game. He acknowledged that he was too short do do anything.

Look around the 1:35 mark of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgbvdFW5qoQ this video. You will clearly see Mack in the middle of the melee seperating players, and you will then see Cronin when they pan away from where the fight is taking place.
Right as it starts, Cronin attempts to keep any additional bench players from getting into the melee, but once he fails at that, he assumes a safe perimeter position. I didn't make it up, and your "St. Louis" mentality can't change the video.

The other piece that is interesting in this video, that has been overlooked in nearly every report of the fight I have seen, is the UC bench player coming after Lyons at the end of the half. (around the 0:15 mark in the video) He had to be restrained by his coaches. I heard over and over how Tu started the fight with his trash talking, but no mention of this event.

It doesn't change the fact that Cronin is a little whiny bitch.

IMO, there is no way the ref "didn't notice" the timeout being asked for by WVU. It is possible that the argument would be that WVU didn't have posession and therefore couldn't call a timeout. Regardless, UC lost, and it made me happy.

It's rather simple. The big east is overrated every single year. As a conference, the schedule cupcakes in the non-conference, then when they get into conference play, they are always playing teams with winning records, but those wins are meaningless. How many non-conference "good wins" does the entire conference have?

The big east, year in and year out, leads the NCAA in number of teams upset, that is, losing to a worse seed. It will happen again this year because they are overrated.

Use some of your $65,000 to buy a clue, and the rest to rent some friends.

Okay, maybe a simpler way to put this for you is for me to ask, by what measure is the Big East overrated THIS SEASON. Notice I said THIS season. That's what you're misunderstanding from my post. HOW is the Big East overrated this year,


It's rather simple. The big east is overrated every single year. As a conference, the schedule cupcakes in the non-conference, then when they get into conference play, they are always playing teams with winning records, but those wins are meaningless. How many non-conference "good wins" does the entire conference have?




So, 2 Wins over a team with a 100+ RPI, 4 Wins over 200+ RPI's, and 4 Wins over 300+ RPI's. Zero wins over teams with RPI's less than 100. That is one tough OOC schedule.

Maybe 5th time now, if anyone thinks the big east is the premier conference this season, they are absolutely wrong. To be overrated, someone has to think higher of something than it really is. Who thinks the the BEast is the best conference this year? No one that I know of...

Now if it were being touted as the best conference this year, then yes, the BEast would be overrated because it is not. But most feel that it is not the best conference, and rightfully so.
