just a day and a half left to speculate. I'm starting to wonder, especially while watching UCLA give Stanford all they can handle in the Pac-10 final.
Why is it assumed by Creme and Palm that Stanford is a #1??
RPI is 6 SOS is 8. Fantastic numbers, but they trail the pack.
The #1's should come from Duke, Baylor, UT, UConn and Texas A&M.

That leaves Stanford, and OSU as 2's along with one from the first five. Then who's that last #2? XU, UCLA probably have the best argument.
If UCLA beats stanford give it to them and XU takes a #3 slot, our #55 SOS puts us ay least a step behind in that case.

Starting to think that "realtimerpi" has a better angle on it.

of course Palm hasn't put a bracket out in a week

Just thinking,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

of course as I write that, stanford takes a 9 point lead with 3 minutes to go,

Baylor, Tennessee, UConn and Stanford are mortal locks as 1 seeds. They all have a 1-1 record against each other. Duke and Xavier have no shot at breaking into that elite club this year.

I'm glad that both Texas A&M and UCLA lost; Xavier now has a trump card over both teams as far as S-Curve preference goes. Both teams also have 3 losses to Baylor (for A&M) and Stanford (for UCLA) now.

It's not looking good for us IMO. A win over Duke would have helped tremendously. If we get a 2 we will be heading for Spokane. A&M should be a lock for a 2. Their 4 losses are to Duke and Baylor 3x. They have 6 top 25 RPI wins. We have none.

UCLA has a profile that is very similar to ours. The difference though is that they beat #10 Notre Dame which gives them 1 Top 25 RPI win. That probably puts them ahead of us.

Also, the embarrassment against Stanford will not help us either.

I wouldn't be shocked to see us get a 3. That may be a blessing in disguise.

It's the final day for guessing, and Charlie Creme stands pat, he says XU is a 2 and the cincinnati segment goes into the west bracket.

Let's just see. I will say he's wrong, that we drop to a 3. I don't think the committee just lays it out like last year, again

I would much rather be a 3 seed close to home than a 2 seed in the West!

Please be kind, committee!!!! PLEASE
