Darn,

I knew I forgot something, forgot the camera. So it's gonna have to be crappy iPhone pics. I brought a Xavier shirt into work today. I go right past Cintas Center on my way home. Figure I'll stop off for some pizza, watch the pairings show and whatever else is offered. The itinerary has events as late as 8pm, sounds like an all night party of sorts.

At first I thought this was aimed at students, but it does look liek anybody is welcome. I already have my tournament tickets, but why not come out to cheer on our A10 Regular season and Conference champions.

I really hope the bracketology holds - two games at Cintas, two games at UD Arena, two games at Conseco Fieldhouse. All doable for the Muskie Faithful.

Maybe I can get a Blue Blob photo to go with my avatar photo. :)

Definitely not just students. We for sure need the general public to be there. This is a reaction type shot that ESPN does. We need people badly.

Just got done with the selection show. Prompted to cheer at strategic times.

There was a noticeable groan when we realized we were not going to Dayton. Maybe one of the view times we are upset that we don't get to go to UD Arena.

After cheering wildly after we were announced complete with fight song the scorecube lost the espn signal. I mean like right after we were announced, that held off just long enough. Cable is more reliable than satellite.

They Wasted no time shooing people out after the door prize drawings.

See everybody back here Sunday at 2:30 for south Dakota state. Possible rematch with lousivlle in round 2 or maybe a repeat of last years Vanderbilt game.

Could the women's game be at the same time as the men in Cleveland?

It could - the same problem exists on Sunday that did last year when the men played at Pitt.

That said, I'm not too disappointed in the draw itself. SDSU won't be treated like a gimme considering what almost happened against East Tennessee State last season. A rematch also looms one way or another - be it Louisville or Vandy.

UCLA is a potential Sweet 16 opponent - I was not led to believe that the Committee would put teams from the same conference in the same region, especially in the case of Baylor-A&M and Stanford-UCLA. That said, what do you think of Gonzaga not having to leave the city limits of Spokane for the duration of the regional? They play at the Kennel for their subregion; Gonzaga (11) plays Iowa (6) in the 1st round. It would not surprise me if Gonzaga had another Sweet 16 run in them. Talk about being a gracious host...

If you saw how the Dayton region played out, maybe Xavier is better off away from the 4-some of Tennessee, Notre Dame, Miami and a red-hot Ohio State team.

If that happens I'll have to follow the men on live chat. Attending a game in person always trumps TV.

It was encouraging to see the turnout at Cintas tonight and kudos to all who put that event together. It was a great show of support for a team that has acheived the best NCAA seed in Xavier women's basketball history.

That written, the committee did our Musketeers no favors. South Dakota State is blue collar and will play the full 40 min. Then a rematch with either Louisville or Vandy? C'mon. Then another dreaded trip west for most likely a tilt with the Stanford. The great news there is Stanford will learn absolutely nothing from the first game tape.

It stinks our ladies at least didn't get the Philly region, where surprisingly Dayton will play.

There, I vented. It's out. Now, LET'S GO X and thanks to all who were at Cintas tonight.

Gotta support the teams at home since I'm not good with road trips.

Whatever floats your boat.
Well, water does, but I'm not sure what that has to do with the price of eggs.

Would they really schedule the two games at the same time? That seems pretty cruel to the players, asking their fans to split loyalties.

I'm taking little LadyMuskie to the game on Sunday. We can't get tix together for the games in Cleveland, so just Mr. LadyMuskie is going to that. So we'll be at Cintas cheering on our Muskies!!!
