Thanks for the post. The Enquirer didn't even list the game as being televised. You get reps.
It will be Time Warner Ch 322 in Cincinnati.

12 points and 5 board in 12 minutes, Ta'Shia headed for her 20th double double of the year, might do it in the 1st half!

I love Mossy's drive to the basket. no fear!

X-21-15 at the 8 minute mark

If these announcers make one more reference to the movie "The Fighter" I'm going to lose it. Completely lame attempt to make the prattle relevant by saying the teams are fighting for a spot in the NCAA tourney.

They're probably trying to justify why they're playing at a D-II school (UMass-Lowell) that's over 100 miles from both URI and UMass.

I hope the ladies can pull away in the 2nd half and give the regulars a breather before tomorrow night's game.

I only like the A-10's decision to play this tourney in Lowell for one reason. At 2 1/2 hours it's much closer to me than any of the teams arenas.

BUT,,,,, having a women's tourney in a neutral site is idiocy. The place is like an empty cave, what did they have less than 700 yesterday for the X game?

I'll do my best tomorrow, me and the kid will represent!

38-23 at the half. this is done

Definitely seeing that Rutan is stepping up her defensive game. Like her hustle out there. The shots will come, she's certainly doing her job.

There are also some other noteworthy games taking place today:

Big 10 title game (Ohio State v. Penn State) - as bad as the Buckeyes were in January and early February, they've been red hot for about a month now. They have a 3-game sweep against Michigan State and who knows if they can also make a case for a 4, 5, or 6 seed right now. Imagine their fanbase should they also be placed in the Dayton regional.

SEC title game (Tennessee v. Kentucky) - more or less a chance to scout Tennessee as they look to finish their campaign for a 1 seed. UK could sneak up to the 3 line with a win over the Vols. They had a halftime lead in their game against UT earlier this season until they let them off the hook in the 2nd half.

Big East quarters (namely Notre Dame and DePaul's games) - should both teams meet in the semis, the winner likely gets a 2 seed, the loser a 3 seed.

Well, at least there's something positive about the location. You are both going to have to yell loud enough to represent those of us that usually attend the game. Have a great time!

I was going to say - I thought the tourney was at UMass. But that would be like saying the tourney is at UC if it were held at UC-Clermont.

That looks like a pretty sharp arena for a Div II, I'm assuming its a city arena, much like USBA. Looks to be a hockey arena at first blush.

Yes I know I can Google it, and will probably do so right after this post.

15 point lead at the half, life is good.

You're right Coaster - UMass-Lowell does have a collegiate hockey program (like UMass-Amherst) that also plays in the Tsongas Center.

Bear in mind that they also played at a neutral site in Upper Marlboro, MD last season, although it was much closer to GW than Lowell is to either UMass or URI.

Hockey is a much bigger deal at Lowell than hoops. it's the UMass Lowell arena, but it's also used by a semi pro/ minor league hockey team.

42-23 Xavier with 17:15 to go - the announcers are already bored and getting some commentary from Temple coach Tonya Cardoza at the moment.

Didn't catch the announcers names. But did you catch in the first half the female voice talking about Charlotte's outside game, and that's how they were going to "win this game". Not sure which game she's watching. I know the announcers write down notes pre game to remind them of things to say, but even in the pre game that would sound very very silly

I was more amused in the first half when the commentators said "two teams fighting for an NCAA tournament berth" Fighting? AP #6, undefeated in conference, stellar high profile OOC wins and we are "Fighting" way to research the teams.

This is the portion of the broadcast where we tell you to mute the TV and listen to Mike Schmaltz's broadcast from GoXavier.com instead.

Main difference from last year - Xavier had a lot of close games at the end of last season. That's not the case this year; Temple and Dayton are the only teams in the A-10 with single-digit losses to the Muskies this year.

I did like the TV announcers talking about Xavier's chances for a #1 seed, but the main problem is that the Committee does NOT consider the polls. Had Xavier beaten either Duke or Stanford (which would have given them the highest quality road win in the nation), they'd have a great case.

You're right X. Xavier is a lock as a 2. now if Duke looses to UNC today, that could cement us as a top #2 which could anchor us in the Dayton region

Is it me or did I just hear a Go Dayton Flyers chant? Their fans need to be put into their place immediately.

Heard that, stupid flyers.
Also heard the announcer says Amber Harris was one of the best ball handlers in the country. Now she's awful good for beng 6-5,, but one of the best? Oh well, advice to announcers, think, then talk.

The one thing Charlotte is doing right is winning the battle of the boards - that could be trouble for Xavier if they play Dayton tomorrow.

That block off the Charlotte player's head is going to be the funniest play of the day.

there's been alot of long rebounds, on perimeter misses, those are going Charlottes way, and Charlotte is missing alot of shots, getting a few extra offensive boards.

That was very similar in the Dayton game. Nance being healthy means alot on the boards.

What's scary is that Justine Raterman tweaked her knee early in the 2nd half and the Flyers are ADDING to their halftime lead. They're up 48-38 at the 14:00 mark in the 2nd half.

You can also start an over/under on Larry Nance camera shots.

by the end of the game, that did not look like a tweak. She came in the last few minutes, did a couple possessions and went pff with a limp and a grimace.
