I just don't see him transferring. He'll be the "star" player next year and will be able to do whatever he wants.

He'll be back at Dayton.

he can get them back to .500 in conference. hes hould stay.

The REAL question is about Gregory. This year was a colossal failure.

The Blackburn review guys (who have been pretty much spot on about transfers and rumors over the past few years) posted on twitter a few weeks back these schools-

Clemson- Brownell, built a relationship with him while he was at Wright State and Staten was going to school in Dayton.

Michigan State- Izzo, wouldn't have to relearn everything as far as a system. Adrien Payne was an AAU teammate.

Cal- This one was kind of out of left field.

Take it for what it's worth, but their sources are usually spot on.

I would be surprised if he stayed.

This is what scares me. I hope ud keeps him around forever. However, I'm scared they might hire Kelsey to replace Gregory. That's the first thing I'd do if I were ud's AD (thank God I'm not!)

There is no way UD would hire a guy even tangentially related to the X tree. That would cause mass aneurysms among the red sweaters. We may well lose Kelsey but it won't be to Dayton.

They're not going to shell out the money to buyout Gregory. They'd be crippled even more for far too long if that happened.

Gregory isn't going anywhere for at least a few years, assuming his buyout doesn't start amortizing for another 3 or so years. UD can't afford to buy him out.

I really didn't understand the logic behind the 2018 extension for Gregory. He had an alright performance at the time, worthy of some extension that showed confidence in him and kept recruits secure in who would be at the program when they were making a decision. But 2018?! A little too much confidence...

The difference between Xavier being blessed with Mike Bobinski and Father Graham and UD being stuck with their administrative guys.

The good news for Dayton fans is that they at least take comfort in knowing that they don't have Fordham's AD working for them.

Who the F cares where he plays next year. We have our team that rules that A-10.

MadXster - I don't approve of leaving the D out of Dayton ( _ayton). That is what some of their fans do to us ( _avier).

I can see it from their perspective. They are beneath us and afraid to speak our name so they leave out the X. Also, they see the relative monopoly we have on the popularity of the letter X (X men, Xylophone, and not much else) and don't want to add to our awesome unique call letter.

For us, leaving the D out says that we care enough about them to scar their name. We don't care. Sub .500 teams in the A-10 deserve no extra effort on our part. Furthermore leaving out the D is a dishonor to all the other great things that begin with D. Dodgeball, Danica Patrick, Drew Lavender, David West, and drinking. D is a respectable letter (unlike that stupid jerk Y) and should be placed whenever possible.

Late night rant done. Taco bell run initiate!

Really? I feel like there are better examples of female celebrities with D names.

Demi Moore? Maybe
Daisy Fuentes: Yes!
Denise Richards: Yes!
Dita Von Teese? Perhaps if you're into burlesque

Just sayin

This. Period.

But as to the "d" argument, the "d" should be used but not capitalized. Only programs that can finish in the first division of the league, 1-7, should even be considered for capitalization.

Minor league, minor division? Minor notation.
