With top-seeded Murray State losing to Tennessee Tech last night, the Racers become the first team in the nation to clinch an NIT bid.

Sucks about Murray. I guess I have to cheer for Morehead. Farried is one of the best players in the country. He's reason enough to watch the OVC championship.

this was a really disappointing season for murray state. last year, i thought they were a top thirty caliber team, even if their profile didn't show it. i actually had them in my sweet sixteen when i filled out my bracket, and they almost made it.

this year, they returned virtually everyone. back in november i thought they'd be well in the range of an at-large bid and even crack the rankings utah state style (win a bunch and move up by default), but they just crapped out for most of the season. they played well in spots, but nothing like what you would have expected. even in the ooc portion of the season, when you'd think the experience would benefit them, they dropped games to the likes of ole miss, among others.

i don't understand it. this really could have been murray's best team ever. last year's team probably was, and they virtually returned that entire roster.

this has been much better than expected. i thought morehead would win rather easily. they beat them rather handily twice during the season.
