O'Connell is in the WCAC, the league that contains my high school, Gonzaga, as well as powerhouse DeMatha and some other great programs. It's always one of the best high school conferences in the nation and puts out tons of D1 kids. O'Connell wasn't the class of the league by any means this year, and I never saw them play, but hopefully I'll get a chance to watch them next year. They are coached by Joe Wooten, son of the legendary HOF DeMatha coach Morgan Wooten, so needless to say he has gotten some very good players over the years. Seems like Xavier is keeping its eye on quite a few WCAC kids, and for good reason.
