Glad to see Dayton on the other side of this bracket. It is extremely unlikely that we will see them again. Given our struggles against them, that is a very good thing.

Dayton was built to beat Xavier, but fortunately for Xavier they weren't built to beat Temple or Duquesne (plus 1 other team that escapes me at the moment). A road of SJU/La Salle and then Charlotte/Richmond is much easier than having to go through the other half of the bracket. I find it hard to imagine someone other than Temple breaking through to the title game.

Didn't realize this for yesterday's First Round, but found it when looking for information about today's Quarterfinals:
http://www.atlantic10.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/022711aab.html
First round and quarterfinal matchups can be viewed live on www.atlantic10.com, free of charge. Sunday's semifinal contests will begin at Noon on March 6, and televised nationally on CBS College Sports, while the title game of the 2011 A-10 Championship on Monday, March 7, will be shown live on ESPN2 at 5:00pm.
That means that X vs. St. Joe's at noon should be available to watch for free here: http://www.atlantic10.com/championships/w-baskbl-2011.html
And as always, the live audio webcast can be found on the Women's Basketball page (http://www.goxavier.com/sports/w-baskbl/xavi-w-baskbl-body.html).
Edit: In fact, it appears the feed is already up - direct link (http://www.atlantic10.com/allaccess/?media=234141).

Spent the day working, so didn't get to watch or listen. Did get to follow it on ESPN on the driod. That's a real pain in the ass.
Anyway.
Must have been an aggravating 1st half, looked like no one, either side, could consistently hit a basket.
Women trailed by 2 at the half.
Then I had to go away from the phone. Came back, we were up by 20!!! All of a sudden it must have clicked.
Nice work ladies.
Double figures from Ta'Shia, Amber, Special and Mossy! Doin work!!!!!

ESPN always has good updates (well, late in the season they do)
Charlotte over Richmond 68-63 first "upset" of the tourney. it was the 5 vs 4.

Considering everyone seeded 3-7 was 9-5 in A-10 play; I can't really call those upset games.
If UD knocks off Temple, on the other hand...

You can now pencil in Dayton as Xavier's opponent for tomorrow night. Turns out Dayton will get more chance to "protect their home court" from Xavier.

Game vs. UD is always tough, hopefully we stay focused and get through, we could use some momentum going into selection Monday
