I think Gonzaga got bailed out there. I don't think the Gonzaga player got fouled on the play that led to the go ahead FTs.

I'd like to see both of these teams in the Tournament (since the alternative is Minnesota or Alabama or other assorted BCS filth).

St. Mary's would get the top seed in the WCC Tournament in the event of a tie (by virtue of a sweep over USF; Gonzaga split with the Dons) for the regular season title. Should both teams win this weekend, they both would get double byes into the semifinals.

I suppose there's a faint hope that both teams make the NCAA field should they meet for the WCC championship, but the Gaels are fading at the wrong time. Gonzaga is like clockwork in that conference, even in a down year by their standards.
