I stumbled upon this gem a few nights ago and I can already say whole heartedly that I am addicted. Here's the deal:
- You place bets entirely free
- You start with a dime that they give you, but once that grows to $20, you can cash out and get money that you didn't have to begin with
- Everything is at no cost to you so it seems. You just place bets that make sense to you and if you win enough - you can cash out with $20 if not more. They brag about $500 winners all over the site
If nothing else, it is just something else to care about in the wonderful world of sports.

Check it out. Might be worth your time rather than slaving over the XH NCAA bracketology... ;)
Looks fun. There are a lot of sites out there that let you "bet" for free with a chance of winning money or other prizes. Covers.com has a bunch of contests, such as Streak Survivor, where you can pick one game a day and have to pick at least one a week. It simply keeps track of your streak. If you get to 9 or so, you win a hat, 17 you win like a grand and I think 21 you get $10,000 or maybe $100,000. A lot of sites do this. I'm sure they kill it in advertising money from other gambling-related sites and can afford to give away cash prizes. I'll try this one though because it looks interesting.

I discovered this site about a year and a half ago. I used to play it a lot, daily. Havent been on in quite some time though. I can tell you I never came close to $20. I think I got to 7ish to 10/11ish a few times. Also what I had heard is that yes once you got to $20 you were eligible to cash out but that they first paid other people who had more or something like that, and just getting to the $20 didnt mean you would necessarily get you $20. Also the only fun way to bet on the site, and to build up your money quick is to do a lot of parlays. It was fun for me in college because I got other buddies to sign up and we would always compare who had more.

It's tough to actually get your money though. My brother had like 50 bucks and tried and they wouldn't let him. It's tough to explain, but only a small percentage of people get their money each week. For example, one group of people are between 40-60 dollars, and they pay out the top 5 people in terms of betting percentages/ difficulty of bets made, and a few other things. At least that's how I understood it, I may be wrong on a few things, but I do know that it's not as simple as cashing out as soon as you get to $20.00

I find it truly shocking that a website that offers something in exchange for nothing does not deliver. Really. What is the world coming to?

I got up to 30 bucks (lost it all due to Roger Federer) and then I got to 60 dollars another time. This time I tried to cash out- Backyard is right- its very difficult to cash out. They have 3-4 different groups of people. (20-30 dollars, 30-60, 60-something and so on) They have a set amount of money each week per group and in order to get the money you have to be one of the best points of that week(So you have to keep betting) Points are gained by how much you bet, the size of the bet and the difficulty of each bet.
For example- they would have say 125 bucks slotted for the 20-30 dollar group looking for the buy out. Meaning they could get roughly 4-5 people of the entire group looking for the buy out. They give it to the top 4 in terms of points. You get higher points for the higher amount you bet+difficulty level of bet. I tried for about 3 straight weeks and came close a few times but never got in group of buy outs. The challenge is once you get their- you have to stay their so you can't just stop betting. The 4th week I got pissed so I bet high (the most you can win per bet is 10 bucks- so it gets hard to gain a lot of money...im surprised people get to the 600+mark) in attempts to get the buy out and lost all of it. I have not been back since.
