I loved this quote from Gary Parrish to put it in perspective just what Calhoun did. "Calhoun ran a program featuring a coaching staff that made thousands of impermissible phone calls/text messages and used an agent/booster to secure the enrollment of a prospect. He got caught. And the penalty, basically, is that he'll be forced to miss three games next season.

The NCAA missed it's chance to make an example out of Uconn. Lets hope they don't let Tennessee and Baylor off so easy.

We can thank Jim Tressel for this precedent. Why was Pearl forced to serve the suspension this year and Calgoon can postpone it to next season?

Wasn't Nate Miles coming to Xavier for like a week and a half? I think it was early in high school, like his sophomore year. Glad that didn't last long.

Calhoun is a dirt bag and the NCAA slapped him on the wrist - neither of those two things are surprising.

the ncaa has yet to make any sort of decision re: bruce pearl. it was the sec that suspended him. not the ncaa. that should come out tomorrow.

ironically, it was uconn that tennessee played in the middle of pearl's eight game conference suspension, a game in which he was allowed to coach.
