The Dukes are starting to fade off a bit in A-10 play; they need this one badly to stay in the mix for an NCAA Tournament bid. They've lost 3 of 4 (Temple, St. Bona, St. Joe's) and their next 2 games are today with Xavier and at Charlotte Wednesday.

Xavier also needs the game as Temple is 12-0 in the conference after clobbering Dayton in Philly yesterday. Charlotte is 3rd in the conference but getting an at-large will be impossible after losing to a putrid La Salle team a week ago.

And to clarify XU-PA, today's game is on CBS College Sports at noon against the Dukes/Duchesses.

That takeaway, breakaway and layup by Harris was incredible!
She beat a guard down the court!

9 turnovers in 10 minutes for Duquesne - no surprise they're losing 23-8 now.

Everything works today, both ends of the court!

Like that noise coming from the student section too!

"Temple and Xavier, it could be for the A-10 title"

No, it WILL be for the A-10 title. The only suspense will be whether or not both teams are 13-0 going into the game.

And why am I hearing the tomahawk chop from the students? Is Florida State making a cameo today?

get the ball to Ta'Shia again, 20 for the half would be a good stat!

it's Ta'Shia 18, Duqesne 18

38-18 at then half

38-18 Xavier at the half. Anyone not named Dayton or Temple is simply fighting in a different weight class compared to Xavier.

uh,,, a Tulane player as a A-10 first teamer??

I think they also said Special Jennings was from Pickerington at one point - Megan Askew is the player with the Pick'Town connection.

Watching a pair of crappy A-10 games (Fordham-La Salle and URI-Saint Louis) has rubbed off on the announcers badly.

I'm thinking, after watching listening to a bunch of games this year, that is the hardest thing for Coach to do. And I imagine for any coach, to keep a team motivated game after game, when you're winning by 20 every night. and on the other side, how do you keep a whipped group motivated?

Tough task

Always nice to use games like this to develop the bench - Amber Gray with the and-1 opportunity coming up.

Hawkes to Phillips with the hammer.

Holmes, with the nail!

So, I know they list Hawkes at 5'3" ,,,,,,, how much of a stretch is that?

Drive and layin by Hawkes was outstanding! She damn near got tackled, and still got it to the rim.
