Are you still alive in XH Madness? Would you like to increase your chance to advance to The Sweet 16? I know the answer is yes because you are all junkies of meaningless contests like this one. Here's the rub:

Based on the probability factor, the match between Xeus and GoMuskies is the closest to a 50/50 proposition. It's the only 3 vs. 6 match we have in the second round. Historically, the (3) wins this game 52.6% of the time.

Here are the parameters:

The total score will fall between 107 and 179 points.
(3) Xeus can win by no more than 26 points.
(6) GoMuskies can win by no more than 24 points.

If you pick the winner, you get 2 points.
If you pick the correct score for either team, you get 3 points.
The closest to the total overall score gets 2 points. If you pick it exactly, you get 3 points.

I will simulate this game first, by itself, before any other round 2 game and here's why: The winner of this contest will receive a 5% boost in probability to advance to the Sweet 16.

If someone who is no longer alive in either bracket contest wins, there will be a second winner selected from the field of Round 1 survivors.

I emailed GoMuskies and told him to pick Xeus to win the game, that way he would have gotten two points too. That would have put this game at a tie and we would have had a Constitutional Crisis in sorting it out between two lawyers. It would have been Florida and hanging chads all over again.

GoMuskies took the high road. I would have gone for the jugular. It would have made the difference. He could have won the game if he predicted the score, and we would have been in kangaroo court for ages.

That's alright that I didn't get it. That extra 5% would have just meant that my beat down of DC would have turned into such an embarrassment that he would have no choice but to go in exile. As it stands, I'm going to bitch slap him so many times in the millisecond that it takes to run the sim that Flash Gordon will be jealous.
