PMI - Strengths:
-Is well trained in a variety of topics
-Tends to be very disciplined and strattles the line of avid internet poster/has a life
-Is battle tested against the likes of _LH and others

Weaknesses:
-Was recently negatively ranked from _LH. How will that effect his psyche?
-Sometimes his speed on typing leads to grammatical mistakes

pimpinthebox - Strengths:
-Largely under the radar coming into this tourney. Scouting is tough to come by
-Travels well as evidenced by his trip to Pitt
-Very quick to contribute to on all matters outside of the A10

Weaknesses
-Tends to be an inconsistent poster at times
-Appears to be a normal and well balanced person outside of the forum

Since no 16 has ever beaten a 1, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that PMI prevails. It will be close early, as pimpinthebox will give a valiant effort, but PMI's posting experience will just be too much for the newcomer.

Titanxman04 Strengths:
-Rapid poster. Isn't afraid to let his fingers go
-Excellent internet connection
-Excellent beard that strikes fear into the hearts of the opposition

Weaknesses:
-Does too many rapid responses devalue the worth of his posts?
-Can sometimes get into petty arguments and quarrels with opponents (See Drew's Crew)

XUGlow Strengths:
-Excellent Avatar picture
-Quick witted
-Respected by all

Weaknesses
-Has been struggling to find any posting consistency as of late
-More comfortable in the Out in the Mall categories. Will that hurt his/her chances?

This one is a classic 8-9 matchup. While XUGlow is a worthy adversary with a lot of veteranship, Titan is hungry. I think a rapid poster is the worst matchup for XUGlow. He will expose his/her inconsistency at the keyboard. It will be close, but the beard will prevail.

Chico Strengths:
-Friends with some powerhouses. Snipe, AmericanX, Waggy, and ATL Muskie
- Well rounded in outside the mall, smack talk, and mens basketball forums
- Is not intimidated by anyone and will use loads of sarcasm to prove himself on top

Weaknesses
-Has struggled in the Pick the Score game
-Has shown a tendency to support Auburn football

Strange Brew Strengths
-Also has friends in high places and more(numbers wise) than Chico
-Seems very focused on doing the best he can in this tournament
-Recently became a supporting member

Weaknesses
- Recently used an excess of punctuation marks to further illustration his passionate post
-Very blunt in his posts which can sometimes work to his disadvantage

While Chico is the higher seed and a slight sarcasm edge over strange brew, I think this is a bad matchup for him. Strange Brew has most of the same friends and more of them that he will use to his advantage. Also, Strange has been on a tear recently heading into this tourney. The momentum will carry him to a huge upset

-Battle tested with his legendary past fights with _LH. Instant classics
-Very very good in Xu Mens basketball topics
-Already inside Gladdenguy's head(Posted a message on gladden guy's profile)

Weaknesses
-Too confident?
-How much did those battles with _LH take out of him? Will he be like Tommy the Hitman Hearns after he fought Hagler and Sugar Ray?

GladdenGuy Strengths
-Complex personality. Very truthful yet at the same time somewhat sensitive
-Brief but effective posts
-Very informative posts on Dante Jackson

Weaknesses
-Likes diet caffeine free black cherry colas.
-Does his fingers have the endurance to consistently perform at a high level?

Gladden guy has a serious shot here with his honesty and effectiveness. If Dante continues to perform well, Gladden has a great shot at winning. However, XU 87 should win this and I believe he's already in GladdenGuy's head with that posting on his visitors message board.

-Is he ready for the lights of primetime?
-How will he handle balancing his time between XHoops and Danaandvictory.com

Smails Strengths
-Seemed to take his negative rep from _LH in stride "I feel that improves my resume"
- Has been on fire as of late
- Not afraid to rip on UC and their irrational fans

Weaknesses
-Never answered the question in "If UC played basketball in the woods, would they make a sound"
-Absolutely correct that the clap is worse than Christina Aguelera singing the national anthem, but it gave me a bad mental image of Christina aguelera with the clap

This one is tough. Smails is on fire lately and posting with more regularity than Cheese. Cheese has absolutely hilarious and commands the forum when he posts but will he have enough time? I'm going with the upset here. Smails

XU05and07 Strengths
-Balances posts in off topic and Men's basketball forums well.
-Brief but effective posts.
-Responds well to caption contests and anything about Titanx.

Weaknesses
-Rarely posts in the smack thread.
-His brief posts can sometimes leave people with wanting more.
-Had a long gap in between posts from January 6 until recently. Could be rusty with that layoff

Brutal first round matchup for JTT37. He is going against a very worthy adversary. However, if Kenny Frease and others continue to play well, he will have ample opportunity to create new photoshops and creative writing pieces. However, if his internet connection starts crapping out again, this one is up for grabs. I'm going to go with JTT37

I would delve into this one in detail but I feel this is just a horrible matchup for Juice(as well as anybody). CoachChrisMack will win.

- Did not think Bratkowski would get fired

Smooth Strengths
- Solid response in the No Chris Mack Show
- Has picked up his posting recently and taken it to a whole new level
- Might already be inside Nuts head with his most recent posting

Weaknesses
-Unproven on how his keyboard will respond in the heat of battle
- Also gave me a bad mental image in the things worse than Christina Aguilera thread when he said "Bath time with Kathy bates or Roseanne barr"

This will be a batlle. I think Nuts4xu will prevail but he will be tested.

Waking up feeling like I just ate some glass with hot sauce on it
Went to work for an hour
Feeling like absolute poop
Attempting to get some work done at home
Cracking up at some of the postings from the other XHoops tourney thread
Decided to take it to a whole new level

About 1/4 of the way, 99% of me wanted to give up and this thread would have never existed.

I feel intelligence is generally acknowledged by those around you. Giving yourself credit for being intelligent is a bit arrogant. If others don't acknowledge your intelligence, modesty, kindness, etc... then you're only a legend in your own mind.

I'm realistic enough to know that I am not as intelligent as I would like to be. Nor do the other qualities that I would like to have or be known for have to be worked for.
