It took overtime, but the women escaped raw sewage and are heading back from the sewage dup to the Taj Mahal with a 70-66 OT win.

Thank goodness for Special -- she carried the team in the 1st half.
Rutan had a huge 3 with 20 seconds left to send it to OT.
Amber and Ta'Shia had a good 2nd half after a horrible 1st half.

And to think someone other than Kevin McGuff picked Dayton to win in preseason - that's one big hurdle out of the way.
Richmond, Duquesne, Temple - anyone want a shot at the King (Queen?)?

Good crowd on hand - I was told by someone in the opposite corner, the Xavier fans were definitely heard. Boy being there and at Cintas, makes you realize how special our place is.

Amber and Ta'Shia had a total of 11 rebounds between them. That's probably half of their next lowest total for the year.

The last four games against the Lady Cryers have been very close. Obviously there are matchups there that are problematic.
That's OK, find a way and just win, baby!. Job well done.

Dayton outrebounded Xavier as a team - I don't think X has been outrebounded since the Stanford game. The one fatal mistake that Dayton made in regulation was leaving Rutan open for a 3 that tied the game. In OT, Amber's 3-point play with under a minute to go was the icer.
Temple also beat Duquesne last night, so right now it's the Muskies and Owls for all the marbles in Philly to end the regular season.

X has certainly been a helpto the other A-10 teams in increasing their attendance.
I suppose that Nance's return has fueled UD. They were just soooo awful in the early part of the season without her
