Xavier is a #2 playing #15 Robert Morris in the 1st round.
Winner plays #7 Georgia or #10 Louisville.
We are in the Philadelphia region which is UConn's bracket. They are the #1 seed.

Seems like every week the experts have this desire for XU to be in the same region as UConn.
Not sure why that has been the case, would certainly put a big block in the way for a possible final 4 trip.

The problem is that with our profile and no more big games left to improve it, will are likely at the last #2 seed and that's why we get UConn. This is where the lack of big games in the A-10 hurts us. Another loss and we will be at the #3 seed line, and that wouldn't be good either, even if we are placed in another region.

The East Regional will be held at the Liacouras Center at Temple. Since we play there, we won't be placed in this region. The Midwest Regional will be at the UD Arena. Again, since we play there we won't be placed in this region. This leaves being in the South Regional at Dallas or the West Regional at Spokane.
My projections number 1 seeds at this time are:
East-UConn
Midwest-Tennessee/ Duke
South-Baylor
West-Stanford
This would mean that we probaly would be matched up with Baylor or Stanford. The committee may want a rematch with Stanford, placing us in Spokane. This would make travel difficult for Xavier fans.

Xavier only plays at the Liacouras Center once; I think there's a minimum of 3 or 4 games that you have to play for it to be considered a "home court" - otherwise Xavier would never be eligible to play at UD Arena, either.
I know Duke wouldn't be eager for a Xavier rematch, but Stanford was just a different matchup on their real home floor at Maples this year.

If we don't end up in the Dayton region, I think we should hope that we're placed in the Dallas region with Baylor.
UConn will be in the Philly region.
I do not want to go west again, so I don't want the Spokane region.

I don't think these rules apply to the Women's tournament. No matter our seed we play at Cintas the first 2 rounds, so I don't know why playing at temple would be an issue in the regional rounds.

No matter which region we are in a heavy hitter will stand in the path to the Final Four. I guess we have to beat them sometime, might as well be in the regional final.

They don't apply. And that rule is incorrect even for the men's tournament — it's not that you can't play anywhere you played during the regular season (which would be stupid); you can't play anywhere that is a home court or secondary home court (four games minimum or so).
