I actually like the Packers in this one.

I couldn't vote for peckers though. Just couldn't do it. And I'll spare everyone my thoughts on squealers.

Packers, of course!

Steelers. I'm surprised the Packers are favored. Being indoors obviously helps them.

I win money either way though. Double, however, if the Steelers win.

If you've got money on both sides of the bet, you're not really winning either way, unless you've parlayed a bunch of bets, but then no bets are guaranteed.

On paper, I think the Packers have a great chance to win, but somehow, some way, the stealers always find a way to win. Even when Rapistburger manages a 23 QB rating.

Well...I know Christina Aguilera won't win...not only did she butcher The Anthem, the rest of it sucked too.

Honestly, I think she thinks she sang the words right. What an idiot.

Anthem butchering is up on YouTube already. Can't believe all the people defending her, and saying we need to get over it, you couldn't do any better, your all haters, etc. Oh wait, I forgot that was the coments section to a YouTube video, yes I can.

For those that didn't see it and want to know what that fuss is about:

I've always thought Christina Aguilera was a really good singer, but tonight's performance was an abortion.

As for the game, I'm happy because I took the Packers -2.5 and it's always nice to see a rapist fail. I thought Aaron Rodgers played a very good game. Even though he had a few poor throws, many of his incompletions were the receivers faults. He was a deserving MVP, and is becoming one of the true elite QBs in today's NFL.

As for the commercials, for the second straight year I award them no points. 90% were cheesy slapstick failures and the others were just bizarre, as in, I didn't know if they were trying to be funny, dramatic, scary, or none of the above. Oh well.

All in all, a GREAT day. I got back from Verizon Center after celebrating a Caps shutout over the hated Pittsburgh Penguins in time to see the other Pittsburgh pro sports team lose. Good, good times. Good, drunken, good times.

I didn't even notice the flub by Aguilira, but that's because we were at a party of about 30, so it was kind of loud. If you are going to do the Anthem, know it. Simple.

Halftime? I thought last years was bad, then they topped it with this monstrosity. I do have to give Usher points for coming down from the sky like that though, that took some balls. Otherwise, I can't believe how bad it was. Blech. It's like they are trying to come up with the worst show every year or something.

Commercials? I liked the Thor (wow what a surprise!), Captain America, and Cowboys and Aliens (HA!) ones. But other than that, nothing piqued my interest really.

So glad Pittsburgh lost. Don't really care who beats them, as long as they lose.

I HATE dayton.

I actually thought the Chrysler commercial with Eminem was pretty sweet. It was a slick commercial and made me reconsider Chrysler. I still wouldn't buy one, but the commercial was classy and very well done.

I took Pitt +3 and on the ML....oh well. I also took Nick Collins to get the first INT of the game at 13/1. So it evened out.

Pittsburgh lost that game moreso than GB won it. Figures...I bet on Pitt and they have three turnovers and don't cover. Seems like that happens a lot when I bet on Duke too...2 teams I really dislike. I still really think Pitt was the right side. Turnovers kill.

Entertaining Super Bowl though...can't ask for more than a team down 6 with the ball and 2 minutes left.

The National Anthem and halftime shows were just brutal. I used to think that the Super Bowl was the one television event that I couldn't DVR and FF through the commercials....my opinion has changed on that.

Edit: The one commercial my wife and I liked was the Volkswagen commercial with the little boy dressed like Darth Vader....reminded us of our boys. The freak out when the car started was pretty good.

At least it's overwith. Now lock everyone out and just do away with the 2011 season altogether.

Just let me know when ESPN stops calling this breaking news - I didn't tune it at all last night and only heard the result this morning.

It seems like that was the commercial that everyone liked the most. It was solid I guess, and I root for the city of Detroit to make a comeback, but it was still kind of cheesy to me. Like, did Eminem just try threatening me into buying a Chrysler?

I hate him. Glad he lost.

I appreciate the love for Detroit (I live about 15 minutes west of the city). I can't tell you how much excitement it brought to the people that live here in MI. Ford, GM, and Chrysler all made big gains in 2010. Here's to a bright future for all!

I seriously doubt you actually watched the game with a comment such as this.

Green Bay forced the turnovers. The hit on rapelisberger as he threw the first pick, the perfect read and squeeze on the second pick and the fumble after the monster hit by Clay. Green Bay had exactly ZERO turnovers, had four dropped balls and under 100 yds rushing.

GB won this game, shittsburgh lost but was forced by the play of the Packers. Get over it.

It's strange but the Super Bowl commercials with dogs scored higher universally

"According to the USA Today Super Bowl Ad Meter, the best-scoring ads featured dogs: A Doritos ad that showed a man taunting a tiny pug and getting smashed under a glass door, and a Bud Light ad that showed dogs catering a party. The newspaper uses a panel of viewers who rate the commercials as they watch them."

Reference the National Anthem.....why doesn't the NFL ever get military people to sing it....ie West Point or Annapolis glee club/choir, or find some combat veterans with a modicum of musical talent? I guess that's not the "sexy" thing to do, but at least they could remember all of the words...

People love dogs very much. Case in point: I'd be willing to bet more people showed up to Eagles games protesting Michael Vick than Pittsburgh games protesting the rapist. I love dogs and think what Vick did was inexcusable, but the gigantic in-your-face pictures those protestors had made me want to vomit. If they had pictures of what Ben did they may be even more offensive.

I also think it's funny that Mark Sanchez has been accused of rape of rape/sexual assault just like Roethlisberger (both accused, neither charged or convicted) but people still rooted for the Jets because of Roethlisberger. And now it's coming out that Sanchez has had a relationship with a 17 year old in high school but no one seems to care about that (age of consent is 17 in NY I believe).

What, I can't have a different opinion on the game than you? Believe it or not, I did watch the game, I am over it and I still think Pitt gave GB the game. Take a look at the stats. Pitt had more 1st downs, more yards, more rushing yards, won TOP. Pitt fell in a hole and dominated the 2nd half. GB won the turnover battle...turnovers kill. We'll just agree to disagree.

So by your logic, shittsburgh had the ball approx. 7 mins longer, had four more first downs and had 50 more total yards and they gave GB the game??

All I see from the stats is GB scored faster and didn't turn the ball over and I watched the game. The TOs were forced by GB and Rodgers made the stealers pay. Green Bay won the game and bitter shittburgh fans can't change that or spin it any other way. Give credit where credit is due.

To me, the big difference in the game was the play of the two quarterbacks. I thought the predator played a subpar game (similar to his first Super Bowl in Detroit) but this time the defense wasn't good enough to bail him out. Rodgers was excellent. He put so many difficult passes in perfect spots where only his receivers had a chance, and in about 4 or 5 of those they were dropped point blank. Aaron Rodgers was the best player on the field, and in a fairly evenly matched game, I think that makes the difference. Also, Green Bay had to deal with more injuries throughout the game and overcame them at key positions on the fly. I also thought that at least two of the turnovers were great plays made by the defense. It wasn't the best game the Steelers played by a long stretch, but I'm left more impressed by Green Bay (particularly Rodgers) than I am unimpressed by Pittsburgh.
