In a typical year, where would you rank the best Division II team?

Remember that

- the best D-II teams are typically made up of juniors and seniors and have lots of experience.
- they can play together during the off-season as a team like NKU does in the summer league.

Would they be a top 150 team? Top 100? Top 75 or better? Win the NIT? Be one of the last 4 to get into the NCAA? Better than that?

As Mick would say "Any Division 2 school would win the A-10"! (The exclamation point is there because he has to yell in order for average height people to hear him.)

I think Bellarmine (top D2 team this year) would do well enough to get to the NIT or win a low level conference to make the NCAA.

BBC, that is exactly why I posted. Bellermine has been ranked #1 or #2 all year long.

Mack schedules pretty damn good teams even for exhibitions.

Last year they played against Findley who was ranked #1 all year.

I'd say somewhere between 125 and 150. They'd have a shot in the SWAC or MEAC, top half in other low major leagues, mid-pack in mid-major leagues, and towards the bottom of major conferences. A 16 seed if they made the Tournament.

I just checked, and for whatever it's worth, the Massey Ratings put Bellarmine #94.
