I like Audi's and I like the A8. But now I get nauseous every time this stupid commercial comes on. This commercial seems to be following me around on every channel. It stalks me like I'm some gazelle prey in the African Serengeti and it hits me when I least expect it. For example, last night I fought a bit of food poisoning resulting in some unplanned impersonations of what supermodels do after they eat in the bathroom. In the midst of my woes, I hear "Goodbye Gluttony" almost in a mocking tone to hit me personally. Yet I was as helpless as a baby gazelle to defend myself from the commercial. The lion had gotten me at my weakest moment when my guard was down. I couldn't thwart this attack by moving to the living room in the state I was in and the remote was too far for me to change the inevitable outcome. Somehow, someway I struggle to get to my feet - dizzy yet focused on changing the channel before the commercial ended to receive some satisfaction. I could not let this commercial win...again. "Hello illumination". Its too late. The commercial is already over. It got me once again. "Goodbye Victory"

Flashback to the last 2 weeks. We all had to sit through it for the Temple game(at least 13 times), we had to sit through it through the Richmond game(I lost count), and now, as of 8:45 tonight, I'm getting rocked while watching the Travel Channel. I'm pretty sure they use this commercial at North Korean Labor/Torture camps. You'd think after a couple weeks of massive airtime that the commercial would gradually decrease. Instead, it has intensified and become an uncontrollable force. I'm sure all over the world its ruined house parties, destroyed marriages, and is one of the driving reasons behind the Egyptian riots. Enough is enough.

I'd rather sit through that stupid Virgin Islands Girl tourist that's there on vacation commercial than watch this again. In fact, there's about 3,485,304,483,382 things I'd rather be watching than that commercial. I thought it was an ESPN thing but apparently Audi shelled out major money to put this on every channel that I'm on and it shows no signs of stopping. 5 hour Energy thinks that this commercial is excessive. Now, I just found out, they are preparing to air a sequel to this for the Super Bowl. This thing, this monster must be stopped.

I am not alone. Slowly a rebellion is growing. There are message board forums, twitter hate, and coffee shop talk of how this commercial is destroying lives around the world. Here are some recent Youtube comments:

The1Cambo "I seriously fucking hate this commercial. If I could afford to buy a luxury car, it certainly wouldn't be a fucking audi, because of this fucking commercial."

6969natali "И ролик красивый, и машины достойные. А соперничество всегда является стимулом" - which I'm pretty sure loosely translates into "This commercial blows"

Kosmosleha "I'll take the mercedes"

fifaps3gaming "This is the worst commercial Ever"

Greenbay357 "This commercial is so fucking annoying"

yyanri "This was a ineffective commercial. I actually wanted the S-Class more. Essentially, Audi is telling its customers, "we are the nouveau riche". Not a great message, in my opinion, because Audis do carry the stigma of "newly rich d-bag"."

Wruss43 "Comment Removed"

SDCarGuy "Goodbye sanity"

Whoever was behind the idea that this commercial would be great should be taken to a shed and forced to watch days worth of Kurt Huelsman basketball footage while stuffing their face with a rotten watermelon.

Sorry for the rant. I needed to let that out

Top notch rant. I like the other "sources" quoted. Classic.

Audi flat sucks at PR. They have a long tradition of being arrogant d-bags. Truly is in their soul. Remember in the mid-70's the out of control cars that would just take off on their own? I think it was 60 minutes that filmed one circling endlessly in a culdesac. Blamed it on americans not knowing how to drive. Brilliant! That one damn near bankrupted them.
