Duke is down 21 at halftime, how Fordham and St Bonaventure beat St. John's should be a bigger story.

I don't know abouut the SB game but I was at the Fordham game and SJU was dominating until about 5 minutes into the 2nd half and then Fordham started shooting lights out and the home crowd got into it. Not sure why a senior laden team wilted in that situation but they did. Rose Hill played into that game

Well...they lost to two horrible A-10 teams. Maybe one they can look past....but two? Back to Back games? yeah, they suck.

well... we lost to Miami, so the f what? they've beaten a few top 25 teams as well. Delusional. Remeber how much better we are now than we were a couple months ago? Get over a few out of conference outcomes. If the comitty conviened today I thin we'd be a few spots behind SJU

St. John's has played like 8 straight top 25 teams and have beaten a couple of them at home, ok. If you play enough top 25 teams you're bound to beat a couple of them. That's what's so great for some of those teams like St. John's in power conferences, if you throw enough mud at the wall some of it's bound to stick.

As for Duke, they rely to heavily on the three. They really need Irving back to get someone who can drive into the lane on a consistent basis.

Good team, good shcool, plays 6-8 games a year at the Garden, host the BE Tourney, why would we not want to be alligned with them (and the Hall G-town, P-dence)? that whole realignment thread was rediculous

Depaul is on their own island of suck, they even hired a former Dayton coach so that they can maintain their suckage.

The ACC sucks this year. Well, at least compared to what that league usually is. Still has some good teams, but Duke's the big hitter and they don't seem like anything special right now (especially without Irving). I'm a fan of the ACC so I don't say these things as a hater. The conference is just down right now.

St. John's is going to be an interesting case for the Committee - they beat teams like West Virginia, Gtown and Duke and still find ways to lose to Fordham, St. Bona and UC at home.

If they can be over .500 in conference play, I think the Duke win will get them in. The F'ham and St. Bonaventure losses look bad, but the committee is able to deal with teams that put it together late. What they can't do is take any crap losses.

Anyway, I'm all for SJU getting better to improve XU's profile.

Edit: I can never keep Seton Hall and St. John's straight. Whoops.

I'd say they have an 80% chance of getting in. Remember 09 when XU beat VT, Mizzou, Memphis LSU and Temple yet stumbled against Richmond, Charlotte and Duquensne (all of whom sucked that year) and still earned a 4 seed? The committee favors big wins over big losses.
