View Full Version : SDSU at BYU
Anyone watching this? Jimmer Fredette is absurd. I have no problem if he wins the National POY awards. SDSU is very good with really athletic forwards. I'm looking forward to the second half, 31-30 SDSU at the break.

I'm watching. It's on CBS College Sports.
Jimmer is ridiculous!! He's got 20 of BYU's 30 points at the half.
Dude is making SDSU look stupid, and SDSU is a very athletic team.
But, SDSU is up 1 at halftime on the road.
Jimmer is an offensive genius. SDSU is a better overall team I think. They have some players. But nobody on the floor deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Jimmer. Dude is nasty.

Only 20 of us have DirecTV?

Yeah, all but 1 of BYU's 44 points are from 2 people at this point...pretty ridiculous. This is a very entertaining game.

That last three from Jimmer as the shot clock was winding down was ridiculous. Got a little silly on the next possession, though.

Haven't really seen him play before but I am impressed. Has 34 points w/ 12 minutes to go with 5 three-pointers and has made a variety of other shots. Shooting % is excellent; was 12-16 at one point. Guy can play.

People are doubting this guy can play in the NBA? He wont be an All Star but tell me a team wouldnt like to have this guy on their team.

Jimmer Fredette has a very quick release with his shot which is why I think he will play in the NBA. If he is on a decent NBA team I think he can have a J.J. Redick type career, which has been pretty solid.
Outside of Jimmer I have not been impressed with the other BYU players.

Jimmer should be better than Redick. Looks to be a lot better athlete.

SDSU's Leonard, who is their leading scorer and rebounder, was throwing up before the game. Someone tell ud that there is no rule against playing sick, especially for a huge conference game...

SDSU couldn't throw it in the ocean the last ten or twelve minutes.

Gary Parrish of CBS had the best comment about the game on his twitter. "What does the BYU Honor Code say about doing Aztecs in public? Is that allowed? Is Jimmer gonna get expelled?" Here's a link to it and others from last night. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/587055-jimmer-fredette-breaking-down-celebrity-tweets-on-byus-superstar-point-guard#page/4

i watched the entire game. the BYU defense was outstanding. They will be a crazy force in March with that defensive intensity.

A couple of us went out to the Blue Ash B-W's last night just to watch this game. Jimmer is nice (groundbreaking).
When he comes out, I hope he goes to 15 or below in the NBA draft (as a Cavs fan) as I don't want to see him help teams like Miami, Boston, S.A. or LA win more games.
On a side note, I still love Derrick Brown rebounding and dunking on one of the first possessions last time we played BYU in the tourney. It set a tone showing BYU and the BYU fan base we had sick game.

D Brown was a beast that game. Probably his best game at Xavier (rebounding and intensity wise)

I think you're forgetting that this is BYU we're talking about. What are they, like 1-7 in their last 8 NCAA tournament games or something.

I have watched him twice this year and came away impressed both times. He plays with high energy and rebounds like a beast.

I'll give it to Jimmer tonight. He just had an incredible game and that's his 3rd 40 pointer in 4 games.
Impressive.
