I'm totally stuck here. I used to count myself as a Bengal fan, but those days are over, I just can't root for a Mike Brown owned team. So I started looking for a team to follow, I've been doing the search for well over 3 years now, and I can't do it. I cannot find a team that makes me want to root for them. There simply is no emotional attachment.

Then it comes to Pittsburgh. My idiot brother has been a fan of them since he was 8 and I was 10. The ONLY reason he rooted for them back then is because, as he told me "You root for the Bengals, and since they made the Super Bowl last year, I have to root for another team in the division...". It has bugged me since I was a kid.

Seeing Pittsburgh succeed time and time again grates on me. I respect their organization immensely, they know what they are doing, but I can't stand their fans. It's the same way in relation to the Cowboys. "Americas Team" my ass.

Totally irrational, but the Pittsburgh fans, especially my younger brother, piss me off. I probably won't even watch this SB. I can find something better to do than watch a bunch of Pittsburgh fans wave those stupid towels on TV. Maybe I'll go get a colonoscopy, I think it will be about the same.

We actually had some friends over for the games yesterday and of course, someone brings a stealers fan (which I specifically said was not to be tolerated). After watching rapelisberger's fat ass light up the Jets in the first half my toleration of this douchebag was nearly up. So I asked, "are you from pittsburgh?" The guy proudly said he was born and bred in that dump. When I asked why he was now living in NC he said he and his wife loved the area and climate. Puzzled, I asked if they didn't like the city of pittsburgh for some reason and he told me emphatically, "NO! We love that city!" Again, puzzled, I asked, " then why leave?" The guy looked completely dumfounded. My response was simply, "exactly."

Sure, I hate them for that too. I hate them for ripping Kenny Anderson's head off in my youth. I think that was Keith Gary or some such animal. Took the face mask and turned his head around. Kenny is lucky he can still walk after that play.

They play smash mouth football, the way it is supposed to be played. They just beat you, and beat you and beat you. And they have never lost a Super Bowl. They are going to win again.
