I apologize once again, but I must ask for prayers today.

Unexpectedly, my grandfather passed away today. He was 81.

My dad called me up as I was at work today, and the news was an utter surprise. Yesterday he went to the doctor and was given a clean bill of health. The cause of death was not natural, and our family is in shock right now.

I selfishly ask for prayers for my family, my dad, my aunt, and myself. Please keep us in our prayers for the time being. Such a terrible thing couldn't have happened to a better person.

Oh wow. So sorry about your loss. Horrible accident. My grandfather turned 81 on Wednesday and was just talking about how blessed he is with his health. It doesn't matter how healthy you are, life is so unpredictable.

It's been a rough past couple of days. For those who are praying for my family, thank you so much. I wanted to post an article about my grandfather, who will forever be one of the classiest individuals I will ever know.

There's a link to the site reporting on his death through that article. The writers from the Washington Post were both very sympathetic and encouraging from everything they were hearing about my grandfather through people they've talked to.

He was an excellent gentleman. He went to duke and is the reason why I root for the Blue Devils, but please know, friends and members of Xavier Nation, that when him and I attended the Duke/Xavier game, he was all about X prevailing.

He was putting me through college as well up until the stock market crash. He cared about far more people that I could possibly ever imagine. I aim to be half as remarkable as he was.

Tonight's game will certainly be a momentary escape from all of this. Looking forward to seeing some friends of XH tonight at Dana's too. God bless.
