Breaking News:
We interupt your regularly scheduled Dayton Criers Smack Talk to bring you:
Per ESPN Scorecenter - Rhody LEADS Richmond 74-71 AT Richmond - 0:54 2nd.
Makes Richmond look very beatable.
I now return you to your regularly scheduled Dayton Criers Smack Talk.
Hope Rhody can hold on. Would make us look better considering the curb-stomping we gave them at their place just a few days ago.

Looking worse for the Arachnids - 77-72 Rhody with 19 ticks of the clock left (16 if the game were being played at Hinkle)

Why does Rhody commit a foul - up 5 with 5 ticks left.

I really, really, really, really want to be happy about this. But I think it just shows that even in a down year for Xavier we are clearly never going to drop below 2nd in the A10. Which just tells me that the A10 is pathetic more than it tells me that we are good.
We win at Rhody by 27 and Richmond can't even beat them at home?
This conference is schizophrenic.

Never go by the transitive property of scoring, but rather the matchups. That said, who on God's green earth from URI's roster was able to stop both Kevin Anderson and Justin Harper?

Really I think the way X has beaten their first two conference opponents has given the rest of the conference barophobia.

I know we can't assume that we are going to beat Richmond by 27 now, but you have to admit that this is a paradox that can probably be best explained by the A10 sucking.

Wtf?!?
Agreed, the transitive property does not work in sports.
Having said that, we appear to be dominating at the present juncture. Would be great to continue that on Saturday.

Richmond is not the same team they were last year. Anderson is playing okay (nowhere near the level of Tu though) but the loss of Gozalvez from last years team is something they are struggling to overcome

Are you telling me John Nash wouldn't win the A10?

Yeah, when we saw how high Richmond was rated in the preseason, I think people were underestimating the loss of Gonzalvez.

Lunardi had only one A10 team getting into the dance in his latest Bracketology. He had Richmond in the last four out category. They certainly didn't help their cause with this showing.

richmond did beat purdue on a neutral but that only means something if you play in a big 6 conference. Rhoody is better than people think and not as bad as they were against X. They are top 60 in rpi with good wins over BC, richmond and they played Pitt pretty tough.

This is my favorite so far use of the "wouldn't win the A10" meme. Reps to you sir.
