I hope Dee Dee knows that no one in the Xavier family has any negative feelings toward her and we only wish her the best.

It does break your heart to see her sitting by herself most of the time during the women's games.

I think it is important to remember that without her Xavier isn't even in a position where those shots matter at all. She will always be a beloved lady Musketeer and someone that is a part of the Xavier tradition and family. We love you Dee Dee.

Failure is a part of life. Lord knows I have failed at times in my personal and professional career. I hope that Dee Dee, if she wants to, can rediscover her love of basketball. If not, she will be successful at whatever she tries.

I didn't realize that she still goes to the games. I can tell you if I were able to attend, I could think of no better place than to sit along side Ms Jernigan. No finer Xavier alum than that young woman!

I too hope she can re-discover her love for the game and put herself back into it. There are countless thousands of girls out there who could use an outstanding role model such as Dee Dee. If I had a young daughter who was in need of a role model/basketball teacher she would be the first one I would reach out to for help.

I've often thought, if I had a youth basketball program I would try to find people like Dee Dee, April Phillips and others that have put forth their effort on the Cintas Center court!

Tough to read. I hope she finds the desire to get back into basketball.

One thing that people haven't brought up is that even if Dee Dee had made the layup, there still would have been a decent amount of time for Stanford to get a shot off at the end. Maybe they tie or make a game winning 3. A layup by Dee Dee was not a guarantee of a win by X.

Saw Dee Dee at Dayton game with some of the other former players. It seemed to me that she is very engaged with her former teammates and seemed in great spirits. I also admire the totality of her accomplishments while at X. She was well-spoken when I met her and it seems to me that she'll have much success in life.
