I'm heading up to Albany in about 3 weeks for a long weekend, never been there before and was looking for anything that we could possibly do there.

Albany in late January? Count me in!

Go visit the red brick house Cheeks built for his HS team.

Take the train to NYC. Or go to the state house and tell everyone to f themselves.

Take a tour of the state capitol building

The State Museum could be an informative and free way to spend your time

Head up to the Saratoga battlefield, site of the turning point of the American Revolution

Siena Basketball or RPI Hockey games. Or the Albany Symphony Orchestra.

There are some decent bars downtown, however, the better ones are on Lark Street. Stop by Bombers Burrito Bar.



There's really a lot more to do in the summer. Albany isn't really that bad of a place.
