Fellow Muskies,

My family and I are taking one of those crazy risks this summer and moving to the beach in Georgia. My wife is cashing in her state retirement and going to nursing school, and we are going to rent a little place on Jekyll Island. Does anybody have any connections to the area for temporary work (We will literally do anything). I expect to find a teaching job without much trouble, but our next 3 months between her leaving her state job and us getting the retirement distribution is going to leave us hurting and both needing to work when we get there in the summer.

I don't expect a lot of possibilities from a Cincinnati fan base, but I'm throwing it out there.

You can rent your place out to us when we go on vacation......

Just a thought.

My family has been going there since the 50's (my Grandpa was stationed at St. Simon's Is. during WWII). We will be there again in June.

Try looking into the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. It's one of the largest employers in the area and I know they hire a lot of civillians.

Thanks guys, will do. I am hoping for just a junk job until school year starts. My wife needs to look there though. Would love to find a golf course job and golf for free. we will see.

Wow! How cool is that?! Good luck to you and the Mrs. I hope things work out well for you. That is something I would like to do now that I am retired, but our kids and G-kids are here, so here is where we will stay. Enjoy life while you can.

GO MUSKIES!

I have in the past. Haven't for about five years or so though. I like heading down to Amelia Island now.
