The I Love Nancy Zimpher Thread

Not every thread can be about hatred during Shootout week. We must show our appreciation for the current SUNY (former UC President) chancellor Nancy Zimpher.

For starters, I would like to formally apologize on behalf of all Xavier fans for booing Nancy during the 2004 Crosstown Shootout. Fr. Graham brought her out to midcourt after the student section used a few naughty words on air a couple of seasons earlier. The fans booed you then, and I guarantee you would now get a standing ovation from Xavier fans old and young alike.

(And yes, this thread is for Nancy Zimpher, not Nancy Gates.)

Well, she did show steel gona....., err, whatever she has down there, in finally standing up to Bobby Thugggins when all of the men around him were milquetoasts and kow-towed to whatever he wanted.

She restored some ethics to a program that had none. She still gets roundly criticized by the idiots across town for destroying the basketball program, all the while getting no credit for somehow putting the football program on the map- for a little while anyway.

Why aren't the same idiots jumping all over the current SucKS administration for allowing Kelly to leave while singing Nancy Z's (as opposed to Nancy G on the basketball team) praises.

Absolutely selective amnesia. They didn't and don't care about football anymore so that is never going to be complained about. How many times did we hear cries for a new practice facility this year? Worst fan base in the f'ing world. Definition of fair weathered.
