When Xavier played in the tournament against BYU and then OSU, CCSU was there too. Got to talk to some of their fans between sessions as they got whooped on by OSU in the 1 v 16 game. And yet, they were just thrilled to be there. It was a really neat experience and will FOREVER root for the Blue Devils of CCSU...especially when against UD.

Those who have said recently that going to the tournament jsut to get whooped on means nothing, needs to talk to those faithful to CCSU.

Getting whooped on by OSU or Kansas or Memphis or whoever is far more significant than playing a 16v16 game, IMO.

Dayton up 2 with 15 sec left. Thank gosh. I prefer Dayton wins as much as possible out of conference.
I wish UC sucked like Dayton.
The UD/Xavier games this year will be UGLY. Both teams should finish middle of the pack in the league.

Nice win for the Bonnies tonight. Won at St. John's.

That bonnies game was great.

Nicholson has icewater in his veines. They really have some good looking players out there.

Wow, I am just shocked right now after watching that game. Me being from NY, I will root for the Bonnies all year.

Nicholson is a future pro.

Nicholson is a future pro.

He sure is. Whether NBA or Europe, who knows. Have you seen Doug Tifft's outstanding rundown of every NBA potential player in the A-10? If not, go to college chalk talk, and it should be there.

I'm not sure which A-10 team from Ohio is worse -- UD or Xavier. Both are struggling big time.

Dayton did handle Miami, however. Damn, I still can't believe how bad we were against the Redhawks. Still pissed.

UD's embarrassing debacle against UC may have ruined their entire season. It's tough to come back from being demoralized like that against a team who really isn't very good.

La Salle 80, Xavier 49 comes to mind. Shudder.

Replace the word "UD" with "Xavier" and "UC" with "Miami" in your sentence and you have what I'm concerned about.

I would be stunned if Miami won 15 games this year, which frightens me considering how bad we looked.

The UC game isn't the issue, Dayton nearly lost to Savannah State before that game.

Dayton's just not very good right now. The second halves vs Ole Miss and Miami are the only times they've looked good. They may get better, they may not. The defense has been terrible, and from an individual standpoint Paul Williams and Juwan Staten are the only guys playing with any consistency. Williams has been a minor revelation, shooting 50% from three, at times is the only guy defending, and has looked a lot better attacking the basket from the wing. Take away the FAMU game where he rolled an ankle pretty early and didn't play the rest of the night, and he's averaging double figures (that's counting a bagel vs UC).

I watched a good chunk of the game (awful announcers, btw...I don't think X's tv announcing crew gets enough credit).

Dayton continues to remind me of the gillen/prosser era at Xavier. The half court offense just doesn't look in sync. There's just a lot of one on one drives to the hoop.

As Adam noted, the defense looked awful. I'd imagine that will improve.

IMHO, Wright is the most overrated player in the conference. But Parker looks solid. Chris Johnson can do everything. Staten looks really promising. I think Dayton will be alright.

I think Dayton will be alright.

You conveniently forget that there is a midget coaching them.
