Surprised to see the women's victory over Louisville on the Enquirer homepage this morning. Amber was a beast last night!

The story was done by Joe Kay of the AP. He's always given XU great coverage.
Unfortunately the Xavier beat writer for the Enemaquirer must have had something more important to do. Or, to be fair, maybe she was still stuck in the V.I.

too bad that on a day that the XU women was really the only game in town, the paper delegates to an AP writer. I mean, how many reporters are there in the Enq. sports dept? Just because there's a beat reporter doesn't mean they can't shift the task to another desk. Maybe the men in sports are afraid they'll catch some gender equity cooties of they go to a women's game. I don't expect much from the enquirer, they usually need an alarm clock to alert them to sports beyond the norm.
Joe Kay does to an awesome job.

If they provided the coverage and most seem to think it was a good article who cares who wrote it?
Shannon had tweeted that her flight from the Virgin Islands was cancelled. She tweeted yesterday afternoon that she was just about to land at CVG.
I agree...doesn't matter who wrote it since the women got great publicity.

The AP will cover the team as long as its ranked in the Top 25 and especially if the ladies remain in the top 10.

The AP will cover as long as the stay in the top ten, not the 25.
