At least on day one. Pretty brutal stuff. Powerhouses like Brown, Austin Peay, Gardner-Webb and Canisius get A-10 scalps. Nothing wrong with WKU, but losing to them by 28 at home? That's poor. Good that Xavier was able to narrowly avoid joining in the suck tonight.

The Charlotte loss was the most disturbing but the Bonnies and SLU losses sucked too. The rest of the losers are the bottom of the conference and can't be expected to do much. St Joe might become respectable at some point as they mature but it is too early for that. SLU is down some players so who knows how long it will take them to bring it together.
Richmond looks legit with their blowout win and Temple got a solid win. No doubt the injuries, etc are going to make this a disappointing year for the conference considering what could have been. 3 teams in the tourney are still likely with 4 possible.

Charlotte suspended Spears and Wilderness for the game. Combined with injuries, they had 6 scholarship players available. Not surprising they lost.
Major is setting a precedent and establishing HIS program, not letting the inmates run the asylum like Lutz. Gonna be a long, up and down year for them, but long term the program will be better off for it.

Looking like a better night for the A-10. Charlotte struggled more than you'd like with South Carolina St., but it looks like it's gonna be a win for a 3-0 night.

it has been said before but going to an actual a10 would be extremely nice for the remaining teams

It's one of those things where it's just like, win, ya know?

The A-10 is falling apart, Fordham actually won last night.

UD has a big game against Akron and LaSalle against Baylor. UD needs to win and LaSalle has a shot at a resume builder. I suspect LaSalle will lose but will hopefully show that they are indeed much improved and ready to leave the A-10 cellar. There is some talent on that team.
St Joe has a chance to show some improvement as well, though I suspect they are not ready for Penn St and will lose bad.
RI is in a must win. X is in the same boat. GW could help the conference by beating a solid BU. If GW wasn't expected to finish toward the bottom I'd say this is a must win but the conference shouldn't expect much from GW this year.
Probably won't be a good day for the conference with wins over bad teams and losses to good teams with the possible exception of Akron (not sure how good they are).

LaSalle was in the game the whole time until the last minute. They played very well defensively minus a lapse here and there. Unfortunately for the A-10 they were sloppy with the ball. Some of the TOs were forced but many were not. The team is capable of beating good teams but sloppy play often takes over a season once it settles in. If I remember correctly they had similar problems last year, as did Duquesne.

LaSuck's Coach "Dr." Gianinni sucks.
Seriously. That game was there to be taken , yet he just allows street ball to continually be played with almost no offensive discipline. That's why they turn the ball over so much. The offense is basically that whoever receives the second pass- unless they are stuck and surrounded- jacks up a shot whether there is any rebounder in position or not. I wonder what the hell the guy does in practice every day.
There's a reason why Lossalle continues to be Lossalle- and F-m continues to be, well......

I agree with your assessment of the LaSalle offense but they played well defensively. I guess he is half a coach.
