louisville is playing one ooc game on the road, and it's just over 100 miles from campus. has there EVER been a team in college basketball that traveled less during the ooc portion of the schedule??

I don't recognize that program under Rick Pitino. The schedules under Crum were nasty (and interesting).
As for your question, my guess is that Syracuse is a possible offender....if you count their games in MSG (over 100 miles) as home games. Louisville is at least playing one true road game.

i've just never seen a team literally not go anywhere. duke and syracuse don't really play any true road games (or at the very least, very few), but at least they do play in nyc, or charlotte, or greensboro, or places like that against some notable teams.
to be fair, butler, unlv, and kentucky are multi-game deals, but this year, they're literally playing all but one game at home. wow.

The Big East is notorious for not leaving their home arenas during non-conference play. As we know there are 16 teams in the BE. This year all 16 teams combined will play 33 road OOC games this year. That is an average of 2 per team. But when you look at teams like Georgetown who has 4 , Rutgers who has 4 and South Florida who has 4 it makes things look even worse. It's how your conference racks up lots of wins so your conference RPI looks great and your RPI doesn't slip during the conference slate.

One year Syracuse never left the state of NY until conference play. All of their OOC games were at home except the tournament at MSG.

Welcome to Big Greased basketball scheduling.
Nothing like playing that RPI game, and getting away with it.

that's what louisville is doing this year. at least nyc is well over four hours away from syracuse. bowling green is about ninety minutes away from louisville.
with teams like butler, unlv and kentucky, it isn't all cupcakes. it's just all at home.
