Atlantic 10 Notebook:

Early attrition plagues a handful of teams



Every college coach enters the season with a detailed gameplan, outlining with his players the roles they will play that season and the expectations of each contributor.

Most of the speeches end with a caveat: “barring unforeseen circumstances.”

For five Atlantic 10 schools, those circumstances have already arrived, with a significant portion of the Atlantic 10’s upper-half entering November needing to modify the gameplan after losing a core player for part or all of the season.

Here is a look at some key losses, and how they will affect each squad on the court:

Well, it looks like a few other teams are having some issues with keeping players on the roster (be it through the hands of the law, NCAA or the not quite elastic enough ligaments in some players legs). Having said that, I still see a top-1 finish albeit in a different way than many expected.

And if the terrible happens and we're just top-3 heading into AC (where we will likely gather our crown the old fashioned way), I'm still excited to see the younger players get some PT as well as the growth of some of our "oldheads".
