Thanks Squidward. That is a pretty tough OOC schedule. I wish them well until they play us, but really, those colors. The only colors worse that black and maroon are black and red. :)

GO MUSKIES!

WOW thats a tough schedule. I'd like to how Xavier would match up with that schedule.

Thats an insane schedule. Looks like they heard us brag about our OOC schedule and someone lost their minds and thought that this was a good idea. It is riddled with loses for them.

It's not a vintage OOC Chaney schedule - there are some tough but very beatable teams (Maryland, Georgetown, Old Spice Classic) sprinkled in. There's also a horde of MAC schools on there, but that's part of the tradeoff of their football MAC membership.

this schedule overall was very foolish. it essentially guarantees at LEAST 6 OOC losses. the smartest OOC schedule is one with about 1/2 tournament teams, 1/2 NIT level teams. I know this may not be an agreed with statement, but why schedule a team who was a 1-3 seed last year in the tournament? No reason to jeopardize your seed for the NCAAs. I know, challenge, prove yourself, get a good seed....but those things generally don't happen statistically. So of those 6 or 7 tourny teams a team should ideally schedule, an easy way to get a win against a real TOURNAMENT team is to schedule the champion of a small conference that will get a 11-13 seed. Ideally, these games should be on the road. Then the other 3 or 4 tourny team games should be 4-8 seeds, with the 6-8 seed teams on the road, and the 4-5 seed teams at home. The other NIT level games can be played against ACC/BE teams like VT and Cincinatti and MD. This will set up probably a 22-25 win reg season, w/ 8 or fewer losses, show a good SOS and RPI by either playing a tourny team (at least one xavier thinks will be) or playing a major conference team.

You're really down on Temple, huh? @Duke is the only guaranteed loss. Georgetown at home will be tough, as will, @Villanova. I can see coming out of that schedule with 6 losses, but I can also see coming out of it with 2 or 3 or 4 and a top-20 ranking.

It's only a bad schedule if you lose. With 15 games they can lose 5 and be ok, but hopefully they lose just 4 or less.

why should anyone be up on them? they can't make it out of the first round of the NCAAs.

there is no doubt in my mind that they will lose at least 6 of those games.

If that actually occurs then I would agree it's a borderline back schedule for the conference. I'm sure Temple however is only worried about testing/preparing itself individually.

They can't be that bad: http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=300200218

Tough OOC will get them ready for A10 play.

I think they lose to Duke, G-town, and Villanova. They will have a high ranking going into A-10 play.
