I didn't see where anyone else posted this... apparently students went out and graded the best schools in America and Xavier came in at 122. While that might not be that exciting - none of the other "big" local schools even came close.

That honestly gives me as much pride in my alma mater as the basketball team's success.

Ha I thought it was fun part of their rankings came from how students rated their teachers on Rate My Professor. I feel like most people who decide to post on there is more because of anger about a hard or bad teacher rather than someone liking a teacher and going on there to post something good.

I posted something on there once to warn people about my Old Testament teacher. It was probably the hardest non PT class I took at SLU.

I did use that website religiously though for looking up teachers for electives. As a PT student most of my college classes were already picked out for me and only had one teacher as an option, especially my senior year and beyond. However when I took electives, specifically my jr that website was my biggest resource.

When you read the criteria used for this measurement of in-coming student's rating of what they expect of their college, is lends even more credence to the pride we can feel about Xavier. Here are the questions they asked students to consider when rating their school:
1) Do you expect your classes to be interesting?
2) Do you expect to graduate in four years?
3) Do you expect to be saddled with a ton of debt upon graduation?
4) Do you expect to get a good job when you get your degree?

Only Richmond (at #84) topped Xavier among A-10 schools.

If I read the article and lists carefully enough, I was also pleased to find that only Boston College (#27) , Georgetown (#52), and Santa Clara (#115) outrank Xavier among Jusuit colleges in the US!

I was surprised to see a school like Hofstra come in at a lowly #529, VCU at #531, and Rochester Institute of Technology at #558.

I also thought that Syracuse (at #292) and Purdue (at #362) would fare better among students.
