Lots of ifs in this story: if she is medically cleared to play, if she regains her form, if the NCAA gives her a hardship waiver to play this year.....but wow, adding another high school all-American to this team? That would be pretty ridiculous.

Wow. If she is on this team too and able to perform.....it makes those season tickets to the women's games last night seem so much more valuable....and they were going to be awesome anyway.

Thanks for the find on that Homer. Agreed, many many ifs. Amber played AAU in the same organization as my daughter before we moved up here to Maine. She is a very talented athlete, followed her career in high school, she would seem to be a perfect fit for XU and McGuff's driving slashing pushing offense. Of course she had very little court time at UT, hard to say how she would stack up to D-1 competition. As I recall she was heavily recruited by XU, first by Mel Balcomb, then by McGuff and his staff.

Wish her the very very best, recovery is the most important thing. Hey if she never laces em up again she still has a very bright future, can't think of any better start for a young woman than a Xavier degree!

That's a very BIG if - a brain aneurysm that could have been fatal is not going to be easy to come back from. If she does come back, it will be one of the more incredible stories that I could ever recall.

First and foremost, I hope she is healthy so that she can live a good life for a long time. If she can get passed all the hurdles and her doctors and Xavier doctors and McGuff and the school feel she can play, and she can get the NCAA to allow her to play this season...WOW, we could more than likely be in Indy for a Final 4....maybe...still have to play alot of games...
