That's one thing I miss seeing in the Sunday paper - they used to have a chart on area players who would be in the majors/minors - I had all but given up hope on hearing any updates on Watson or other former Xavier ballers. If I'm not mistaken his last cup of coffee in the bigs was with the Mets.

Of course, there aren't too many guys from area colleges that are currently in the bigs - off the tip of my tongue I can think of Boston's Kevin Youkilis (UC), Washington's Craig Stammen (UD), New York's Nick Swisher (OSU) and Watson.

I don't know about the whole city, but I think most people here love the way he plays and represents Cincinnati. I personally can't think of a reason why anyone wouldn't like him.
