I did some research, it looks real. It appears he did it his freshman year.

Deadspin.com is doing a whole thing on this where people are going to submit or tell stories of the dumbest student athletes they have encountered on campus. This is going to get pretty good.

All I have to say then is wow.

It brings to mind another story. One of my roommates for several years in college ran track at SLU. He was using an athlete computer lab to print some things off and came across a paper that one of the basketball players had wrote for an English class. A lot of the basketball team at SLU at the time, and even now, are pretty smart but this particular kid we new wasnt the brightest guy. Well his English paper confirmed it. I swear it was the worse written paper ever. It was at about a 4th grade level. All I have to say is I hope that wasnt the final draft and he took it to a tutor or the writing center or something.

D-West, are you trying to butcher spelling and grammar in your post? I've read a ton of your stuff and it's usually either very entertaining or at least well written. But that monstrosity above looks like a 3am rant.

My vote for most disturbing quote:
"my favorite animal is a cat because they are soft cute and fun to rub down on."

I think rubbing down on animals is illegal in most states. I'm sure PETA would object.

Yeah, I probably should have checked it since I was making fun of his paper but I didnt. I have never claimed to be the best writer. As many mistakes as I just had, the basketball player had so much more.
