That would be like buying tickets to see Lady Gaga...with special guest Celine Dion.
You're starting with a bad product and figuring out a way to make it worse. What's the point in paying for that?

And I thought the Hitler spoof video on YouTube last season was bad. Wait till that person gets a hold of this shit pile of a schedule. Wow......2 teams in the Top 100 RPI.....God they are lame!

They don't have to schedule good teams out of conference to help their RPI since they are guaranteed to play Xavier twice every year to bring up their computer rankings.

Wow. Underwhelming, to say the least.
Considering that dayton will have a ton of new players next year, I could see how the thin schedule would be beneficial if they deliberately scheduled it that way. I seriously doubt that they did it on purpose though. Actually I guarantee it.
Once again, dayton will hype up a supposed win total, totally disregarding the level of competition in their bluster.
I HATE dayton.

Fixed it for you.
With the exception of New Mexico, this is not exactly the pathway to a paper A-10 championship (not that were going to be voted top dog this year, anyway).

Dayton will win a lot of games. And that's good for X's computer numbers. I love their schedule.

Darington Hobson is gone to the NBA, New Mexico will be average at best.

They'll be all happy and chest thumping about their 11-non-conference home wins and someone will rise up and bite them when league play begins. What else is new?

They'll still be pretty good. Not a 3 seed good, but they'll dance.
UD's schedule is really slanted toward the road/neutral games this year, which is probably a good thing. But it will swing back next year when Seton Hall and Ole Miss come to Dayton along with a couple home and homes they hope to start at home. In the end it won't matter if they can't do better than 8-8 in the A10. That will define the season, not the OOC schedule.

Seton Hall and Ole Miss
Sad that these bums are actually an improvement. I guess Ole Miss might not be terrible.

Dayton will be better this year...addition by subtraction of loser Seniors in addition to Chris Wright becoming a senior.
Xavier will still be better.

Wait, I've seen this schedule before.....
Xavier back in the early 80's.
Maybe Dayton can get where X is now in 25 years....of course Xavier will still be 25 years ahead of them

Dayton scheduling is a funny thing...I honestly think they are iimproving and doing the best they can with what they have. They have added UC back, and are making an effort to schedule Big East/SEC/BCS foes, who will finish in the top 150. Fact is, they CANT get home and home's....not when the other team doesn't want to go to UD arena and get beat by 30, and then turn around and beat UD at home....but have it not end up as a quality win since UD proves to be a bad road team and end up in the NIT.
A few years ago...I was begging them to kick out some of the crap and at least schedule local MAC/Horizon schools....or bottom BCS teams like Northwestern or Seton Hall....it seams they are doing that.
I'm not sure we can expect much more until UD proves they are a quality game for top 50 schools to schedule home and homes.
Now as for the blinded UD fans who actually think this is a tough schedule...that's another story.

Hey, don't knock that schedule. They did the same thing last year and won it all, right?
We'll just leave 'it' undefined, shall we? Makes them feel better.

Media outlets are scrambling to clear airtime for this juggernaut.
Word is that Direct TV Channel 1,037 is vying with Montomery County Public Access Channel 2 and WHIO Alternate Digital Channel 44 (usually weather radar) for the video broadcast rights. There are also reports that udump is considering controlling video rights through a Skype powered scoring table mounted webcam so as to provide "worldwide" coverage.
It has been confirmed that Bucky Bockhorn will return as resident shill.

For a team to compete for a championship in the A-10, typically you need some seasoning by playing some good teams. With an average RPI (home non con sked) of 177, this will not get it done.
If Xavier rolled out that home slate for an upcoming season, our fans would be pissed.
Keep it going Flyers. I guess you really do like the NIT.

Honest To Goodness News. Boring, But Still.
God bless those of you who forked over your hard-earned money to watch UD's home non-conference games this year.

If you can't schedule the Big 6, at least you can try to schedule some quality non-Big-6 schools.
Hell, when nobody had heard of Xavier in 1990, they still managed to schedule 4 NCAA tournament teams in their non-con schedule.
