How many of us use fellow alum for business purposes? Especially the out of town people? If you're not in Cincy, do you seek out X people to do business with?

Interesting topic. I am in Cincy and have attempted to network with other X alums for the purpose of exploring business opportunities. Unfortunately I've had little to no luck. What's really frustrating is trying to work through the XU alumni office. You would think that they would have a reasonably robust file containing names, addresses, phone numbers, occupations, etc that would be sophisticated enough to allow you access along with user interface for query options. What I found was very disappointing.

I think you will find that this is one area where Xavier is lacking. I have been a season ticket holder for many years. However, three years ago my name appeared on a "lost alumni list" sent out to people already donating money. All they needed to do was look at the season ticket list to know i wasn't "lost".

I'd love to have more Xavier networking in the Indy area as well.

Funny......as I was typing it I thought to myself, is this another one of my ideas that I never followup on like my idea for a rock in a box that's sold as a pet or the hoop that you rotate on your hips or a rubber bladder for oil tankers........

In my opinion something like this should exist. If it can't get off the ground in Cincy? How would other chapters go about doing it?

Funny that you mention LinkedIn - I got on there for the first time today and noticed somebody put up a bogus profile under my name.

LinkedIn and look into joining the Xavier mentoring group.
