Betty White wins that title after the passing today of Rue McClanahan, the youngest of the Golden Girls. She was 51 when the show started and I was 15. I would have done her.

Blanche would have done pretty much anything...but she wouldn't touch 15 year olds

Now if you had money...then that's a different story

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that, I'd have enough money to not have to hear that, until I spent all my money on women. Then I'd have to hear that a lot more to get more money. The second time I would spend it all on booze and I would end up exactly as I am today. Damn, life sucks.

Those gals from St. Olaf are real tough.

I hope David Freakin West is doing okay.

The show had a ton of great one-liners. Sophia had a field day with Blanche's sex life.

Golden Girls is still one of my favorite sitcoms! It is laugh out loud funny and there aren't many new sitcoms around like that these days.

This was my grandma's favorite show, and it was on Saturday nights after Nurses but before Empty Nest. I remember it like it was yesterday despite only being in grade school because we spent a lot of Saturday nights at my grandma's house and we watched these shows with her and my grandpa. Every time a Golden Girl dies its like losing my grandma all over again. Rest in peace Rue, and say hi to Estelle, Bea and my grandma!
