Schedule (Bold Indicates Win):

Xavier would finish the season 14-13. Season highlights included wins over USC and Tennessee in the Volunteer classic. Xavier played just three televised games on local television (Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, Air Force). Play-by-play was performed by David Piontek with color by Fred Waymore.

The Musketeers improved from the previous season's record of 13-14, but this would be Tay Baker's last as head coach of the Musketeers (being replaced by Bob Staak the next season).
