Still, it's clear that men's basketball is a major source of funding for many colleges, and that profits are still far more common than losses for the major teams in March Madness. The numbers in the chart below reflect only dollars attributed to men's basketball

One thing that jumped out at me from that chart is Northwestern. They have never made the tournament yet rake in $5.6 Million in profit...a 60.1% margin!

How is that possible? They must have some desperate Alumni

Oh-ho-ho State made a total Athletic Department profit of $23,000 last year.

Wow. $23,000 on a total budget of $128 million!!

What the hell do you think that our "friends" in Clifton lost on athletics last year if the Luck-eyes only made $23,000?

Nothing like you and I having to subsidize a lousy piece of crap program across town with our tax dollars.
