Anyone know a place around Cincinnati/Loveland area that gives cash for a box of old baseball/basketball cards? Thanks in advance!

There used to be a card shop in Montgomery behind the McDonald's near I-275. Don't know if it's there anymore or not. You may want to search on ebay to see if it's worth you time going there, or you could just sell them on ebay.

There was a thread about card collecting recently. It's not popular right now. You're probably going to be disapointed in what you get.
A couple places that I can think of off hand...
There's a place on the corner of Ridge and Montgomery that has been a buy/sell/trade comic book and trading card place since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I think their focus is mostly comic books now, but they might be able to steer you in the right direction.
There's also a place in Clifton right across from Fries. I don't know my Clifton street names.
I was trying to find the name, and googled a place on Montgomery road just inside 275.

(edit - I'm sure this is the one Chico is referring to)
From your location, I'd probably start there.

There's also a place on Winton Rd in Finneytown. I believe it is called "Mavericks" or used to be. My old stomping ground. I'm a pack rat and have kept all my useless cards from the late 80's cause all those great rookie cards..McGuire, Bonds, Clemons were all found to be jacked on roids.

Don Gullett (former Reds' Pitcher and Pitching Coach) owns a sports cards store off of 125 in Withamsville. Not sure if its still in business or not though.
*edit* looks like its still in business, but only on Tuesday's and Friday's http://gulletts.com/SportsCards_News.html

It depends how old the cards are. I am an online dealer and can tell you you won't get much unless the cards are pre-1980. Even then you will get less than you hope. The hobby is in a sad state right now; the only way to make money is through volume. I would argue, however, that things are headed back where they need to: folks collecting for love rather than profit. I realize that sounds silly coming from someone who makes money from cards, but I wouldn't sell them if I didn't love them!

It might be worth your while to organize your cards and, if possible, find the few missing pieces you might need to complete a collection (ie 1980 Topps, every Nolan Ryan etc)
Buyers are lazy too and will pay substantially more for complete sets
