I contend that dayton is a great place to party. The ghetto is the shit during Halloween. However, way to represent your school, idiots.

For the record, Dayton should be a sweet party school, because if you have to spend four years there, you'd wanna be shitfaced throughout it all too.

When did all this stuff become a big deal?

Apparently Sororities just recently started drinking heavily at their formals...

When did all this stuff become a big deal?

When one sorority had to up the ante and just make every Greek orgazination look juvenile and sophomoric. No way they report this if not for the Miami incident or if there's, I don't know, actual NEWS of substance that's going on elsewhere.

Was the Miami sorority really the first to do something like this? Haven't there been situations for decades of sororities/fraternities getting suspended for people getting killed/raped at their functions?

I wasn't trying to insinuate that they were the first sorority to get blackballed, but rather that I just part of the reason is that there seems to be little going on that the local papers think are newsworthy at this point.

Seriously, why is it newsworthy that a Dayton sorority was out of control back in March for crying out loud? That just seems like a normal NIT party in most cases, but now for some reason the snoops are hellbent on outlining every social college group to get busted.

What's next, am I going to hear that college teams go to parties, their coaches find out that a rule or two may have been broken, and wind up having to run the steps in college team's stadium or arena? That is really shocking to me.

Kahns nailed it on the head in the Miami post - no one would care if you didn't have an organization to tie these people's names to.

I like how they pointed out that they peed on the carpet. What great reporting!

"Ah yes, this is Tom from the AP trying to confirm that the Omega Moos did in fact pee on the carpet at the Top of the Mall Banquet Center a few months ago. If you can just go ahead and confirm that I will keep your name out it."

I am surprised no one reported that someone went Top Self in the bathroom.

Gotcha. Agreed.

I believe it's referred to as an "upper decker".

The links I've seen were titled something like, "Another Ohio Sorority..." - perfect for getting people to click. Was pissed when they suckered me in, and discovered it was old and unrelated news. I tell you it's a game of cat and "mouse" with the different websites trying to entice people to click various links. I play hard to get. ;)
