Try to catch the end of Tiger's round right now. He's 5 over through 14 (+7 overall) in Charlotte.

Make that +9

I'm hoping he goes 3 more over so that my best round ever of 81 beats one of Tiger's rounds. My 81 probably wasn't on quite as tough a course though. Probably.

I'm really looking forward to his pissy comments to the media. Or not.

Somewhere Elin is smiling... Somewhere David Feherty is crying in his beer...

bogey, bogey, bogey, par, double, double... Many of the pundits thought Tiger would make a move today. Oops. Wrong direction. Par on 16. Way to stop the bleeding...

Eh, maybe Elin is smiling but let's be honest, Tiger's going to finish in the Top 10 of the US Open, a tournament that actually means a damn to him. I'll gladly take bets from anyone who thinks he won't.

On a somewhat related note, how about Rory McIlroy yesterday? That kid has some serious talent, and from all accounts I have heard he has a pretty good head on his shoulders.

I will take that bet. He is not on his performing enhancing drugs anymore, and his head is so screwed up its sick. Bring it.

I wouldn't bet against Tiger on making the top ten, but I can assure you that Tiger gave a damn about winning at Quail Hollow. If he tees it up, he wants to win. He tried hard. He not only didn't perform. He was awful.

You're on. Name the price (within reason, I'm not fetching you Sean Miller's head) or PM me. Glow, I'm sure he wanted to win and came out trying, but there's just a difference between the way he prepares and executes at Quail Hollow compared to Pebble Beach in the Open. I think we'll see something much closer to the Tiger we've watched over the last dozen years. Last week was a major aberration.
