Got to believe Jef Battle staying on board had a lot to do with it.

good for them. One of the ugliest things in college basketball is watching the vultures slide in to pick the recruits from the dead carcass of an evacuated coaching staff. It's good to see all of the kids remain true to their word.

Kind of like we did for Crawford and Lavender...just sayin.

Personally, I was hoping Kelsey and Mack were working the vulture angle.

And Terrell Holloway. Although, to be fair, Crawford was basically asked to leave by Crean and I thought Lavender left, or decided to leave, before Sampson left. But I think Holloway was a guy who changed his mind about IU when Sampson was fired.

Crawford and Lavender had already spent season(s) at their schools before Kelvin left, so it's not like we swooped in there. I don't know Jordan Crawford but I can promise you that Drew Lavender wanted out of Oklahoma in the worst way. Wouldn't it have been some kind of tampering if we had talked to those guys before they decided to be released? I think getting transfers is a little different than going after a kid who's signed a LOI who hasn't even taken classes yet, although I do believe those kids should have the option to explore other options if they choose.
