Expect a similar (if not higher) ranking to start next season as well.
Congrats to the team on a terrific season.

The poll is virtually reflective of how everyone finished in the Tournament; Xavier was the best team not to make the Final 4.

I would say X was better than Oklahoma quite frankly.

easy to make that argument, in fact easy to make the argument that any of the "other" teams, OK, XU, Baylor could have been ranked #2 behind the champs.
Regardless of numbers, this was without a doubt the best team since Balcomb's Elite 8.
Interesting to try and compare the two, how do you think a head to head would come out? Piipari, Taru, Levandusky Phillips and Jen Parr with Waugh, Kate Kreager, Shavon Bell and Erin Hall off the bench
Finished the season by losing in the regional semi, 31-3 and 15-0 at home. Losses were to UC, GW and Purdue (national runner up)
vs
T-Phil, Amber, Special, Mossy and April with Dee Dee, ROOOOOOOOOOtan and Alesia off the bench.
Finished the season 30-4 15-2 at home, losses to MSU, Mich, LSU and Stanford (national runner up)
Remember that earlier group had 3 players drafted to the WNBA, only levandusky stuck, with the sparks.

With 4 or 5 days to prepare, I'd give an edge to the 2000-01 team with their backcourt and deeper bench, although in a short turnaround I'd take the 2009-10 team with their defense and the twin towers down low.
