A lot of venom flows between our two schools, but in the end we are all on the same side. It is very sad to hear of what happened. For those that haven't heard, the people killed in yesterday's plane crash in Sprinboro were a Dayton volleyball player and her father. Condolences to the family and the entire UD community.

Terrible news. I don't care how much back and forth goes on between the schools, you never wish for something like this to happen. Prayers to our UD bretheren.

I'm an Alter grad, and although I did not know the Hausfelds personally, their reputation was impeccable in the Alter community and everyone thought very highly of them. The Hausfelds were an incredibly generous family, giving to their parish (St. Henry's in Miamisburg), Bishop Leibold grade school, and Alter High School. One of my best friends and his family are close family friends of the Hausfelds, and he can attest that there are many, many tears being shed on their behalf.
May they rest in peace.

Prayers for the victims and their family and friends.
Totally agree and will add them and their family to the list. Dog-gone shame, especially after the joy of a championship, however it may be. God rest, God bless.:(
