I would be remiss if we did not acknowledge and thank our 5 seniors who will be moving on to bigger and better things (along with their diplomas come May).

Thank you Der-ryka Martin and Mo Hester - a couple of fan favorites to be sure and always pushed our starters in practice and cheered them on during the games.

Thank you Alesia Barringer - although your playing time was never very high, your time on the floor was valuable.

Thank you Dee Dee Jernigan and April Phillips - two of our more unheralded frontcourt players who showed during the tournament that the Xavier frontcourt was more than a pair of twin towers. (And special thanks to Rutgers for their pipeline of Jernigan and Tudy Reed over the past few years as well).

Agreed X-man. All five quality people, quality players, under appreciated.

Honestly the biggest challenge for Coach is to replace the spot that was filled so well by April and Dee Dee. So often the guard play or post position gets all the attention, and certainly in X's case that happened, but those 2 young ladies made that in-between position one of the most valued and productive in quite some time.

Well said X-band! Mo is a sweetheart. My 9-yr old niece met her after a game last year and told Mo she wanted to go to Xavier and get good grades like Maureen.
Gonna miss April and Dee Dee - two hard-working blue collar players!
